Introduction
The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary is the volunteer, civilian, non-military arm of the U.S. Coast Guard. Division 12 is part of Eighth District Eastern Region. Division 12 and it's five flotillas proudly serve the public through boating-safety classes, courtesy vessel examinations, and safety patrols on the water and in the air.
Division 12's area of responsibility covers the northeast area of Tennessee and the far southeast corner of Kentucky. Some of the waters patrolled by Division 12 members include the Tennessee, Watauga, Nolichucky, Clinch and South Fork Holston Rivers, as well as Powell, Fort Loudon, Tellico, Watts Bar, Cherokee, Norris, Wilbur, Wautauga, South Holston, Davy Crockett, Fort Patrick Henry, Douglas and Melton Hill Lakes.
Members of the Auxiliary have no law-enforcement powers and issue no permits. This web site is dedicated to the safety of the boating public.

Although there is some cross-over, for navigation purposes, this web site is organized with two Portals or paths. Content that would primarily be of interest to members is found on the Member Portal and content focusing on the general public's needs is accessed through the Public Portal.
